I watched this car get made on TV Wednesday.
The new Velocity show Speed is the new Black is based in St. Louis (if you couldn’t tell by the shots of the arch at every return from commercial break) and they brought the viper-powered Chrysler 300 from the season finale to Cars and Coffee this morning. It looks incredibly awesome in person.
They also brought the twin turbo C10 shop truck that shoots flames.
A full C&C dump when I get home and get my brother’s share of the pictures, but I felt these deserved their own post.

I’m sure they’re very well done but I’m ready for the whole big buck build trying to look like a rusted hooptie thing to be over.

Its not trying. That was what the car or truck body looked like when they got it. Saw Sema video on Truck. (From Motor Trend)Lots of hand rubbing on the engine compartment.

I’m sure but it’s been stabilized and clear coated etc. There is just something about spending a lot of time and money to try to look cheap that isn’t to my taste. It has a certain artificiality. Now, a car that is built by an individual in their garage that they haven’t bothered to paint is a different thing and I can dig that.

I’m in agreement the whole patina rod thing is overplayed at this point. Just like billet everything and 80s tastic graphics.

okay, so if restored is played out, patina is overplayed, and so is billet and 80's graphics. sleeper is almost a bad word. what SHOULD be be the next trend to get aboard, and PIONEER before it catches on?.........
dont forget, stance was cool looking for about a week.....

Driver quality restoration, not over restored, nice looking cars you can use.

sHot Rods?....... hot rods that are rough with HONEST natural wear, but not death trap, rat rod tacky?.....
been thinking that it might be fun to put back together one of the trucks in the yard in somewhat THIS kintysukoroy style.... in a can only “repair” what is there. and must leave the repairs visible......
